Advertising at KK Convenience stores can have a strong effect if you use the right formula in your marketing communications. KK has after all been one of the fastest convenience store brands growing at a rapid pace.
Modern sundry experience
The most obvious target segment that KK Convenience stores will attract is consumers who buy daily items. Like its closest competitor 7-Eleven, KK stores have a more local aura to it because it is a Malaysian brand. The general perception is that KK Stores are ‘cheaper’ than 7-Eleven although it might not be a fact.
Media spaces in KK Stores
Within KK Stores, there are various media locations that can be used for advertising. They include:
- Shelves – There are generally 4 to 5 aisles in every KK Store (single outlet). Ads can be placed along the shelves usually below their respective products.
- Pop-ups – Mini pop-ups that stand out works well along the aisles but they can be too narrow for large items.
- Fridge – On top of the fridge and on the doors.
- Counter Point-of-Sale – Table-top on the cashier counter is very effective as the ‘last mile‘ marketing. The point-of-sale system also has a digital screen that can display ads.
- Floor Stickers – Ideally as the customer is entering the store, in front of the cashier counter.
