The Shapadu Highway goes by the name of the New North Klang Straits Bypass. This highway is located in Klang, Selangor that stretches to 17.5 kilometers. As the name implies, this highway is used as a bypass for vehicles in the township to avoid the congestion within Klang town.
Route
Used by more than 3.1 million vehicles, Shapadu Highway comes in from the west via the Selat Kelang highway where it cuts through Jalan Kapar and then into Bukit Raja. After that, it reaches Bandar Baru Klang and Taman Perindustrian Bukit Raja before convening with the Federal Highway.
Demographics
Primarily, the Shapadu Highway is used by the residents around the Klang and Bukit Raja vicinity. The segment that travels to work and school aiming to bypass the congestion of Klang’s town center will use this bypass each day. Besides that, it is used by vehicles coming from the Federal Highway as well.
