  2. Purchasing them from database owners

But, you must first identify and decide which industry you are trying to reach before knowing which database to choose from. Anyway, it is always the first issue to consider if you are aiming to send out your telemarketers.

So how do you do this?

As mentioned, finding the right industry to target is a crucial first step for anyone. Among the issues that you need to consider are:

  1. In which industry does most of your customers dwell in?
  2. Are you looking for your customers in the mass or niche markets?
  3. Do you know the sizes of the companies within the industry you are in?
  4. Is there a need to purchase any database in that market you are aiming for?

Do you buy leads?

The typical response is to buy leads and this can be done from a database provider. In most cases, those are information that are not available in the market. Among the good things you gain from buying these is that you get data that are not available in the public domain. This means that you will obtain names and contact information of exclusive people in the organisation which could well be your intended market

  1. Be aware of challenges – Being able to pay for these databases meant that your competitors could too. There would always be other issues to consider here as it could mean that the data might be inaccurate. Hence, it might not be a good idea to fully rely on the data. Another impact that might occur is that being available for purchase might mean it would be circulated too extensively. When a customer gets these calls too frequently, they might totally reject the next one.
  2. Integrate your resources – At the end of the day, you still have to use all your available resources. This means that you must still consider using the public databases and then integrate them with those that you are buying. From there, generate your leads and make them count.
  3. Ensure you have enough leads – The last thing you want is to have your telemarketers not having any leads to work with. Remember! They are supposed to make calls, not generate leads.
