If they are going to share your content, what do they get in return? Some advertisers use tactics like ‘Share this with 2 friends and enjoy 5% off in your next purchase’. While giving the carrot might work at times, they are not always the best. If your content is interesting and resonates with them, they will want their friends to know about it because they share something in common.
The title will hook your users in
The title of your content is the first thing they will see. A compelling headline is what you want. A poor one will do you no favors even if you have the best video in the world. ‘How we were kicked out of 7-Eleven’ creates a feeling of intrigue. They want to know why, but it could well be a video ad for 7-Eleven themselves.
Emotions are your best weapon
When it comes to the messaging in your content, human emotions would be your best bet. Once you have moved your audience, they will want others to know about it. Get them excited or sad or even angry but as long as they feel something, they are prone to share it with others. Remember that cute cat videos are among the most shared clips in history.
Knowing who you are talking to
Ultimately, knowing your target audience is always crucial. Your content is created based on who will be watching and what are you trying to tell them. This will impose what you need to do next in terms of languages used, words used, talents who will be acting in the video and location where the content will be created.
