Jalan Raja Permaisuri Bainun is adjacent to Jalan Raja Dr Nazrin Shah towards the north. On the west end, Jalan Raja Permaisuri Bainun is connected to Jalan Tokong and Jalan Kampar while on the eastern end, this road will join with Jalan Raja Dr Nazrin Shah and heads towards the south.
Together with the roads mentioned, Jalan Raja Permaisuri Bainun forms a circular shaped road that allows travelers to go around the major places of this area.

Traffic Conditions
Unlike other main roads around Ipoh, Jalan Raja Permaisuri Bainun experiences moderate to peak traffic conditions during other times apart from the rush hours. As there are schools and universities here, the traffic condition is usually peak and super peak in the mornings and evenings.
This is most common around the middle part of the road. Coming in from the Jalan Tokong roundabout, the traffic is moderate at most times and it then eases up until the Perak Community Specialist Hospital.
From there, it will then start to peak again before convening with Jalan Raja Dr Nazrin Shah.
At times, the congestion from the Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah intersection will spillover into this road, causing a heavy flow of traffic which is quite common during the weekends.
