Named after the second prime minister of Malaysia, Jalan Tun Abdul Razak in Johor Bahru is one of the most important main roads in this southern city. This road provides access for vehicles coming through in Jalan Skudai where it continues on until it reaches the causeway that connects Malaysia with southern neighbor Singapore. As such, it is very common to experience slow traffic flow especially around the town area of this road.
Jalan Tun Abdul Razak is constantly used by vehicle owners who travel from suburbs of Johor Bahru to the central business district. As such, it is quite common to see young and working adults who travel between Johor Bahru to Singapore for work each day. Besides that, students who are staying in the town centre will use Jalan Tun Abdul Razak to travel to the outskirts and suburbs like Nusajaya for their studies.
Jalan Tun Abdul Razak is a very long stretch that covers a large area of Johor Bahru. It goes towards the Royal Johor Country Club and through to the Desaru Golden Beach before heading into the city center.
Along the way, it passes by the Danga City Mall before heading towards the causeway intersection.
Coming in from Jalan Skudai, you will reach the intersection that connects you with Jalan Sungai Danga-Kota Iskandar towards the west and Jalan Tun Abdul Razak towards the east.
Along this stretch, you will then come towards the Jalan Datin Halimah junction before heading southwards heading to Sekolah Menengah Teknik Perdagangan Johor Bharu. After that, you will approach the Danga City Mall vicinity before reaching the Jalan Lingkaran Dalam intersection and continuing to the south, you will then convene with Jalan Wong Ah Fook before reaching the Johor-Singapore Causeway.
This road is a very important access road not only for local vehicles but is used by Singaporean commuters as well which will be an extremely attractive outdoor advertising option to target its customers from both sides of the causeway.
As such, you will experience peak travel conditions coming out from the Jalan Wong Ah Fook junction as this is the spillover from the Singapore causeway. Meanwhile, if you are coming from Johor Bahru and heading out to Singapore, the stretch here is peak to super peak in the morning and evening rush hours. At other times, the town center location of Jalan Tun Abdul Razak is quite moderate and peaks during weekends.
On the other end of this road, traffic sis usually moderate throughout the day. As you approach further out of the city center, traffic conditions can be low and moderate mostly every day. During the nights meanwhile, traffic is usually very low.
