The futuristic city of Putrajaya is one of the most well-planned places in the country. It houses most of the government departments and ministries in modern buildings, all of which are architectural wonders.

Precints and Major Roads

Putrajaya is segregated based on precincts. The breakdown are as follow:

1. The major starting point for all precints which is located towards the eastern part of Putrajaya is Precint 1. From here, it continues towards the west where it stops at Precint 5.
2. Northern region – This is where Precints 6 to 10 are located.
3. The outer regions of Putrajaya are circled by Precints 11 to 19.
4. Precint 1 neighbors with Precints 12 and 13 which covers the Taman Wetland and Taman Botani. The Mariott Putrajaya Hotel and IOI Renaissance Palm Garden Hotel are around here as well.
5. Vehicles coming in from the likes of Cyberjaya will come in through Persiaran Persekutuan which will lead directly into the city centre.
6. Persiaran Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah – This is the main road circling around Putrejaya Shangri-La Hotel and Istana Melawati. Most vehicles coming in to Putrajaya will use this enclave at one point or another.
7. Persiaran Perdana – The main connecting road in Putrajaya. Most of the government departments are lined up on both sides of this road. On one end is the Perdana Putra or Prime Minister’s Office and on the other end is the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC). Large format posters can be seen on the pedestrain walkways here which is a common sight along this road.
8. Seri Gemilang Bridge – This connects vehicles coming in to the PICC, an international venue used for large-scale events. Whenever there are events, large crowds of people are often seen around here while there are constantly a lot of vehicles using the surrounding roads for access.
