Coming in from the east through Jalan Ampang, the road is quite narrow where you will pass by important landmarks like the Ampang Waterfront. The road will run parallel with Sungai Kelang where you will approach the main places once you enter the Federal Territory part of this road which is KLCC.
Here is where you will arrive at the very popular Victoria Station before reaching Sayfol International School.
The China Embassy is located along here as well and as you move westward you will come to the British-Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and when you cross Jalan Tun Razak, you will reach Ampang Park, one of the most popular shopping centres in the 1980s.
Further away from here, you will reach Wisma MCA which is a stone’s throw away from the very iconic Petronas Twin Towers. After that, you will come to Zouk Club KL where Jalan Ampang continues on until it reaches Jalan Raja Chulan where the St John’s Church is located.
Jalan Ampang is basically a very busy street throughout the day. As such, it is considered to be a super peak road in Kuala Lumpur.
The stretch coming in from the east towards the Fairview International School is usually quite smooth and moderate while towards Victoria Station and Sayfol International School, the traffic is at usually slow here.
Meanwhile, traffic flow around MIM and the British American Chamber of Commerce is relatively moderate before it reaches the Jalan Tun Razak interchange.
Here, the traffic is at its peak particularly during the rush hours.
After this junction, Jalan Ampang experiences Super Peak traffic conditions where KLCC and Wisma MCA are at. Further up front, vehicles will then experience moderate to peak conditions before reaching the Jalan Sultan Ismail interchange.
Unknown to many, Jalan Ampang is actually one of the longest roads in Kuala Lumpur. It actually cuts across Selangor coming in from Kampung Lembah Jaya Utara in eastern Selangor and goes into the city centre of Kuala Lumpur where it passes by some of the most amazing structures of the city.
Along the way, Jalan Ampang houses some of the prominent embassies where it provides the access for motorists and vehicles travelling to the city for work and leisure.
Accessibility
As one of the main roads in Kuala Lumpur, Jalan Ampang provides access for residents and people who are travelling into the city centre for work. As such, the morning and evening rush hours are when Jalan Ampang is most congested as many are travelling into the Bukit Bintang area. Besides that, Jalan Ampang is usually very jammed with vehicles during the night as well as weekends who travel here for entertainment and shopping.
