M&C Saatchi, the UK-based advertising group recently held their first biannual worldwide meeting in Malaysia. Operating under M&C Saatchi (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia, its Kuala Lumpur branch has been one that has been performing well among others in the group in recent months where M&C Saatchi remains as one of the main players of the advertising industry.
Hence, M&C Saatchi Malaysia is looking forward to better times ahead and another great year despite the fact that there has been a slow down in the total industry advertising expenditure in the first 9 months of this year. Datin Lara Hussein, the Managing Director of the company said that M&C Saatchi managed to do the right thing at the right time which led them to retain many of their key anchor clients.
Apart from clients like Celcom, Tourism Malaysia, Volkswagen and Petronas Lubricants, M&C Saatchi also managed to win some new projects like Sime Darby Property, Pemandu, 1Malaysia.com.my, the SOTA online travel business platform as well as Hello Cambodia which is part of the Axiata Group also one of their key accounts.
Datin Lara said that they are looking at a 10% revenue growth for 2012 which although is lower than 2011 the profit is better. The agency will be celebrating its 10th Anniversary next year and she hopes that the momentum will continue then.
Moray MacLenna, the CEO of M&C Saatchi worldwide said that although the global advertising sector seemed to be slowing down, it does not mean that the company cannot register a steady progress.
