Red FM

Red FM is one of the top English Language radio stations in Malaysia. Operated by the Star Radio Group, it is one of the major media owners in the country. This privately owned station is part of the group that owns several top dailies including The Star.

Highly targeted radio station

Unlike the more common radio stations, Red FM is very targeted. Among its characteristics are:

2. Runs on 95.8FM in the Klang Valley
3. Plays English music from major eras between 1980s to contemporary hits
4. it has more than 300,000 listeners weekly

Programming segments

Red FM has a strong following of listeners every day. As such, it has specific segments made for each of these groups accordingly. This is how its programs are run.

1. Weekdays – Mondays to Fridays
2. Saturdays
3. Sundays

Weekdays Programs

On weekdays, the segments are divided into 5 parts:

1. 6am – 10am: The Red Breakfast WTF
2. 10am – 12pm: Red Zone
3. 12pm – 4pm: Red101
4. 4pm – 8pm: The Red Jam
5. 8pm – 12am: The Red Knights

Programs on Saturdays

Saturday segments are as follow:

1. 8am – 11am: The Week That Was
2. 11am – 12pm: RED Kick Off
3. 12pm – 4pm: Red Weekend
4. 4pm – 8pm: Fresh 40 (repeat)
5. 8pm – 10pm: RED Flava
6. 10pm – 12am: RED BEATZ

Advertising rates are based on the time zone which are as follow:

1. 6am to 10am – RM266 on weekdays and RM155 for weekends
2. 10am to 1pm – RM189 on weekdays and RM130 for weekends
3. 1pm to 4pm – RM147 on weekdays and RM125 for weekends
4. 4pm to 8pm – RM231 on weekdays and RM145 on weekdays
5. 8pm to 12pm – RM168 for weekdays and RM135 for weekdays
6. 12pm to 6am – RM60 and RM40
