The Prolintas GCE refers to the Guthrie Corridor Expressway. This highway was built to connect Shah Alam with Rawang, 2 very prominent satellite cities in the Klang Valley. It is used by more than 1.5 million vehicles to commute between home and work each day as well as to travel between cities along the western region of Kuala Lumpur.
The GCE starts from the northern region where Rawang is located. It will travel along the outer rim of Kuala Lumpur, travelling southwards to pass Sungai Buloh. Setia Alam is located on the western tip of this highway before it reaches Subang Jaya.
GCE is mainly used as a bypass for vehicles traveling on the western region of Klang Valley. It is used by those coming from the north into the likes of Subang Jaya for work each day as well as a connecting link to get to the northern states.
