Sprint Highway or Sistem Penyuraian Trafik KL Barat (Western KL Traffic Dispersial System) is an important access road in the Klang Valley.
This expressway was built with the sole intention to ease traffic flow which comes in from the city center, heading out to places like Bandar Utama, Kepong, Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya as well as towards other states via another connective highway here.
As an important expressway and connecting road between major suburbs, the Sprint Highway is commonly used and very busy throughout the day.
Particularly during the rush hours of 7.00 to 10.00am and 5.00 to 8.00pm on weekdays, the traffic here can be at a standstill as working adults are travelling between their workplaces and respective homes.
Sprint Highway is mainly used by residents in the surrounding areas. This involve those who come from places like Damansara Utama, Damansara Jaya, Taman Mayang, Bandar Utama who are heading out to places like Bangsar, Damansara Heights and into the city centre.
Those living around these areas are mainly from the middle and high income group as well as others who are coming in through Sprint Highway to work in the surrounding areas who are both male and female.
One of the most prominent billboards along Sprint Highway is enacted on the wall of Phileo Damansara II – Eastin Hotel.
This billboard can be seen from a far distance as one is travelling on Sprint Highway towards the KL-bound trail. Unlike conventional billboards, this particular one is designed to offer a portrait layout which can be more captivating.
Costing for this space is RM100,000 for 3 months as it is seen by hundreds of motorists every hour. The cost does not include other charges like printing which will be around RM24,000 as well as tension and electricity costs which are taken into account separately.
